• Brake Adjustment - Removing slack from the lines. Centering brake calipers.

• Alignment of brake pads (rim brake systems). Cleaning of rotors (disc brake systems).

• Shift Adjustment - Simple indexing to remove skipping and chatter. Checks of the shift limits as needed. Simple cleaning of gears and chain. Lubrication of chain and checking for overall system health.

• Check tires for proper pressure and signs of wear and damage. Basic wheel truing (on the bike focusing on low spots to help alleviate rims striking the brake pads, etc.)

• Tighten pedals and bottom bracket for wear/play. Check and Tighten Bolts related to basic function and safety - Saddle, Seat Post Clamp, Headset and Handlebars. Check Chain Tension for wear and possible need for replacement.

• Light cleaning of bike frame

• All tunes include service notes with an explanation of what needs attention currently as well as what to keep an eye out for in the future. We’ll also help with basic upkeep and repair tips as needed. One of the benefits of running a small, loan shop is being able to work with riders to get a realistic plan for the life of the bike and help with which repairs/upgrades make sense and which don’t for service time and budget reasons.

Everything included in the Basic Tune, Plus:

• Deeper cleaning of the frame and components - Either at the customer’s request or out of necessity. Hand Cleaning of Gears and Cogs.

• Replace Two Cable/Housings (Shift or Brake as Needed).

• Full check of shifter limits.

• On-bike wheel truing. 

• More involved tuning/cleaning/simple repair of basic system functions as a flat labor rate.

• Help with accessories like GPS and non-e-bike electrical systems.

Everything included in the Basic and Mid-Level Tunes,  Plus:

• Replace All Cables/Housings with full resets and dialing in the brake and shift systems.

• Remove and inspect rims, spokes and tires.

• Replace damaged spokes (Max 3 included with service).

• Remove, Clean and Re-Install Brake System (rim brake systems). Cleaning of pads and calipers (disc brake systems).

• Deeper level repair for shifting issues - Including bent derailleur hangers, minor bends to components that don’t require replacement, etc.

Standard bicycle chain - 6/7/8 Speed

Includes sizing the new chain, cleaning components, checking limits and indexing the gears.

Spokes replaced as one-offs for $30 parts and labor for standard bikes.

Ordered a new bike online and got in a little over your head? No worries. Box builds are typically a flat rate of $75-$125 based on the work required. Time and materials work is also available in some cases.

We are currently accepting e-bike repairs for a limited range of bikes/systems. Batteries must be removable and we will not be working on any electrical/control systems. Replacement of "bike" parts or tire repair is subject to additional flat rates (typically $50 - $100)

Tires purchased here can be installed for $10 per tire. Bringing in your own? Not a problem, prices quoted based on the size and bike type.
